Real Gold is not afraid of the fire!

I believe when things are so easy we quickly forget the journey but when things are refining and putting into the fire it does something deep in you. Or at least this is my hope. Our case for our Abbigail has been with the embassy for 7 weeks as of this week and we received a notice on Monday stating our case is being sent to the Nairobi, Kenya branch. Oh how I didn't want this email to ever come to my inbox. Joey and I thought we'd being going to get her by now as most that were submitted around the same time as us have gone to get their kids. She will be 10 months next week and we got pics of her standing, wow. She is changing with out us :(. So just to explain about what exactly is going on in short :)......our case passed Ethiopian court and we are on her birth certificate as her mother and father. After this it goes to the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, ET. The U.S. Emabssy had to interview all those involved with her case findings. After this they can decide to clear you and give you an appt. to come to their offfice in Addis Ababa for clearance (immigration/visa) in which you may then take your child home. We got an email saying they could not "clearly approve" her case. so they sent it to someone who has more authority (which is the US Embassy in Nairobi). The Nairobi, Kenya U.S. Embassy will hopefully get our paperwork next week or the following. Then they can have it for 30 days or less. As you can see this could take some time but we continue to trust God for HIS PERFECT TIMING. I have been an emotional wreck the last couple of weeks. One person says an encouraging word or a hug and I'm in tears. I'm so tender. At this point I am believing more than ever to take the boys with us to pick her up as it's so long now. We have 3 paid air mile tickets to go, we just need 3 more and Abby will have "the Beason love" surrounding her. Here are some pics we got the other night from CCI ( Celebratechildren.org )....she doesn't look her happiest, in fact she looks like she's going to punch somebody! If you knew her you'd know she has the gentlest spirit ever. But she loves her Nanny Sarah that takes care of her and I know she's doing fine.

She's a Beason!

We returned last week from Addis Ababa , Ethiopia.  Every day felt so life changing! One day the Judge is telling you You will be parenting this child for the rest of their life.  And every day after that you are just starring at this little sweet life your in charge of..... with awe and amazement! What an absolute HONOR!!

We were so blessed by her sweet spirit and nature.  She just simply loved us, which brings tears to my eyes.  What a miracle, when she doesn't even know us.  God was in this from the beginning so obviously. She is such a delight to us and I know she delights our Father.

We leave for court in 6 days!!!

We are in court Jan. 25th..... and spend a week with her.  I am so full up with Joy and excitement! Joey asked me if I will be a mess when we have to leave her... I just looked at him and turned the question right back at him.  Like he's not going to having a hard time, haha :)
