family perspective

Our Caleb is now in India.  He has been in Nepal already for a month and seen God heal, deliver and most importantly draw the people to salvation.  He will be gone till Aug. 4th.  He is 15 and he was able to call last night for a few minutes and said he was a little homesick.
But once they get their focus on the people they will be ministering to this next month I know he will forget about home.  Our oldest Son, Josiah went to India for almost 2 months earlier this year up near the border of Nepal to do a worship school.  He was the only American.  He learned and grew leaps. I am so grateful that we as a family went to Uganda (Northern) to do missions; that they had a clear understanding that Mom and Dad weren't the missionaries but WE ALL were as a family.  I know those amazing 2 years spent serving an orphanage in a war torn place gave them a beautiful perspective for reaching lost humanity, especially those who've never before heard the love story of the Gospel. They all 4 love people from other nations and cultural things, in fact they prefer it sometimes.  I know I despise our culture so often. It's so saturated with "self awareness".  Living in Orange County, Ca. is even harder at times, but we know God put us here for this time.  I truly believe that we will live on a foreign field again, but for now we are duplicating God's heart for the world and it's people to our church as my husband is the Missions Pastor as he says "Anointed travel agent".

So close....but still far...

Very exciting news! We are #4 on the waiting list for our sweet girl or siblings. Meaning they will find a match for our family after the 3 families before us.
One concern though is that we could join together on prayer for the future of Ethiopian orphans and frankly orphans ask across the globe. It seems they are under attack. Some orphanages were shut down this last week and they were privately funded not even government run. Where toys kids go I don't know. Countries are closing their orphan adoption programs across the globe, I know they're is a lot of corruption as well child harvesting but I believe the devil is behind this. If he can keep these beautiful lives institutionalized in orphanages, they won't be enabled to grow in their God given purpose! God says in Psalms 10 that "orphans won't be orphans forever"; "Gods grace and order wins; godlessness loses....orphans get parents, the homeless get homes."
